Having a clear goal in mind is essential to a successful organizing project. During our first session, we will set written goals for us to work towards together. We will help make sure your goals are measurable, realistic, and achievable.

We will remove all the items from the area to be organized and sort them into categories. We use color, size, type, occasion, frequency of use, season, or any custom criteria that works for your unique needs.

We will help you decide what to keep in your space, what goes elsewhere in your home, and what can be donated or recycled. Some people find this to be an emotional and difficult process. We will be there to help guide you in your decision making and help you keep your goals in mind when making tough choices.

We will determine what you need to properly store your items. You may need shelves, storage boxes, clear bins, labels, hooks, hangers, racks, or baskets. We will measure your items and your space, and work with you to ensure you receive the right organizing system for you.

We place all your items in their new containers and in their new homes. We consider the item’s frequency of use, function, shape/size, and the aesthetics of the system. We label your containers clearly and coach you on how to maintain your system.

We check in with you to re-evaluate your new system and make any necessary changes. We may offer coaching sessions to help you form good habits and behaviors around organizing, overbuying, and difficulty letting go.
