Organizing Support for Neurodiverse Minds
Many neurodiverse individuals struggle with organization because traditional organizing systems often do not work for the way their brain or body functions. Executive dysfunction, overwhelm, sensory sensitivities, chronic fatigue, mobility challenges, perfectionism, decision fatigue, and fluctuating energy levels can all make getting and staying organized uniquely difficult. Generic organizing advice can leave clients feeling frustrated, ashamed, or like they have “failed” or done something wrong.
At Calm Spaces, we take a compassionate, highly customized approach to organizing. We understand that every client processes information, makes decisions, and functions differently. Some clients need structure and accountability. Others need a slower pace, visual systems, body doubling, or help reducing overwhelm so they can make decisions more comfortably. We do not judge. We do not force minimalism. Instead, we work collaboratively with each client to create systems that support their real life, habits, routines, energy levels, and goals.
We have experience supporting clients living with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, traumatic brain injury, chronic illness, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mobility limitations, depression, anxiety-related overwhelm, grief, injury recovery, and other cognitive or physical challenges that impact organization and daily functioning. We also frequently work with highly creative individuals whose spaces have become difficult to manage due to accumulation, unfinished projects, or demanding schedules.
